How do I submit an NIH-funded paper to PubMed Central?

To get your paper into PubMed Central, you must submit the final peer-reviewed manuscript to the NIH Manuscript System (NIHMS).

If you are lab administrator, you may submit a manuscript on your PI's behalf, however, the PI must complete the review of the manuscript in the system and confirm associated funding.
